UK Detectornet, one of the most concise sites on the net - Check this Out!
The hobby of metal detecting is now firmly established in Britain, the USA, Australia and many European countries. The many thousands of metal detectorists who enjoy this fascinating pastime reap benefits in a variety of ways; relaxation away from the pressures of work or domestic life, fresh air and exercise, and making new friends and meeting other enthusiasts. But these are common to many other hobbies and there are more particular benefits which set metal detecting apart; the coins and artefacts recovered, the excitement and pleasure one feels when handling them for the first time, and the inevitable gain in knowledge of our past.

www.museumreproductions.co.uk
Museum Reproductions is a company which has been in existence for a number of years as a small cottage industry. We have been reproducing ancient coins and artefacts for collectors, museums and schools for several years and, as you will find within these pages, have one of the largest ranges of such items in the UK - at prices that you just will not believe!

The Celtic Coin Index
All the British Celtic Coin Index Records from 1961 to 2001 are now online! This means you now have access to over 28,000 records and images of British Celtic coins, a remarkable resource for study! For more information on the history of this project, see the History FAQ. It is easy to see the enormous growth in information about Celtic coin finds in Britain when you realize that, only ten years ago, there were only 12,000 records in the Celtic Coin Index at Oxford (Derek Harrison, 1992, p. xv), which represents the records of thirty years. In the following ten years, 20,000 new records were added, so that currently there are more than 32,000 records in the Index.
